The video production program teaches the youth involved in Iliso Care Society video production skills and basic film production and editing. The program has managed to train 125 youth.

The Program

This program aims to equip youth with an interest in video and film with the basic skills of video and film production. Included in the program they learn the practical operation of a video camera, as well as film editing and some theory around film production.

Capacity building in Iliso Care Society helps five unregistered ECD Centres and ten NGO’s, within the Khayelitsha community, to comply with government regulation and trains and teaches them about governance.

The Program

The Capacity Building is predominately done by the Managing Director, Mama Vivian. An accomplished speaker and teacher, Vivian mentors and coaches small NGO on governance, how to go about receiving government funding and how to comply with required government regulations.

Iliso Care Society also helps the unregistered ECD centers by providing them with learning resources and helping with basic teacher training and school management skills.

We are running a facilitations programs in schools with about 360 learners in 4 schools around Khayelitsha

The Program

The objective is to coach them to be able to be champions who stand up for the good of the community and be role models and influence others. We attend two days in with two facilitators in each school.
